Birchbox February 2014 #2 Replacement Review

Because my second account Birchbox had the broken oil bottle in it, which damaged the eyeshadow palette, they sent me a replacement box! It's actually a different box then I originally received, but I couldn't be more thrilled about that! I ended up getting the tea and OPI Sheer Tint polish which I wanted, but didn't get in either of my other two boxes.

I got box #1:

Info card with what I received.

Here's how the box looked when I opened it. The oil still wasn't in the little pillow pack, but I guess with that and all the other items, there wasn't much room for it to rattle around. I was also happy it didn't leak, which I've seen others have happen.

  • Beauty Protector Protect & Oil - ($3) I have heard great things about this hair oil, so between this and the detangler, I'll probably have to pick up both on the shop.
  • Harney & Sons Wrapped Tea Sachets in White Vanilla Grapefruit and Paris - ($1) I can never get enough tea, I was so disappointed I wasn't getting this in my original 2 Birchbox subscriptions. These will be gone in no time flat.
  • OPI Sheer Tints Color-Tinted Top Coat in Don't Violet Me Down - ($2.25) This was another item I was so disappointed I wasn't getting, and now I have one! I'm thinking I'll do a spring-themed mani with this over white. Maybe a cute design? I can't wait!
  • Joan Vass L'eau de Cristal - ($2) I actually don't mind the scent of this, but I'm not going to try it. I get headaches from perfume, and I'd rather try swapping this.
  • dr. brandt pores no more pore refiner - ($11.25) I have heard amazing things about this pore refiner, so I can't wait to try it! It's a little too expensive to purchase on it's own, so I'm glad I got to sample it!

All totaled, my second February Birchbox was worth about $19.50 and I can't forget the $5 in points I receive for reviewing my products! Since this was a free replacement, I didn't pay anything for this one! I love all the items in this box, except of course the perfume, but if I got nail polish and tea in every Birchbox, I think I could be happy with that! Maybe some iced tea in the summer...I know, I'm one of the few Birchbox subscribers who likes tea. Ok, chocolate too, Birchbox send me chocolate!

Birchbox is only $10 a month and they send you 4-6 (usually sample size) products. If you really like the sample, they offer the full size version on their shop for you to purchase, or you can use your points you receive every month for reviewing your box products to get items on the shop.

Do you subscribe to Birchbox? What was your favorite sample this month? Let me know in the comments!
