Indie Weekends: AFK Cosmetics Christmas in July Advent Calendar Review

AFK Cosmetics announced they would be doing another Advent Calendar this summer for Christmas in July, and that all of the products would be exclusive to the box. And there would be a sample size and a full size option. Once I saw that the full size was only $60 ($5 per item!), I knew I had to grab it! You may remember my review of last year's Christmas 12 Days of IMAM Advent Calendar, I wasn't thrilled with it only because I had quite a few of the items already. But this year everything was exclusive, and the theme was Summer Lovin' inspired by beach days of the 1950's.

AboutAFK Cosmetics is an indie cosmetics company specializing in eyeshadow and lip products that are mostly video game themed! Dena is the owner, and she is based in Washington. She recently introduced a few other kinds of products, including mascara and face primer.

June 2015 Favorites

I actually had a hard time this month narrowing down my favorites as there was a lot I really liked. I think the most difficult is picking one of my indie subscriptions, as they've all been really great lately. But there were a few new brands this month with some of my favorite products, and I think a good variety!

Indies of the Week: Femme Fatale Cosmetics Review

I have more random Femme Fatale products than I do collections, mostly because I like getting mini jars and collections of those are quite expensive. So I've been collecting a few fan favorites, and some limited edition blushes. Femme Fatale makes some amazing duochromes, and a lot of these shadows look great over a sticky base by themselves.

AboutFemme Fatale is an Australian based indie shop, owned by Sophie. They specialize in nail polish, eyeshadow, blushes, and are a hub for Australians to purchase products from many US indie brands. They also carry a few products from other brands that are exclusive to the Femme Fatale site, and cannot be purchased anywhere else.

Indie Subscription: Innocent+Twisted Alchemy May 2015 Review

This month's Innocent+Twisted Alchemy subscription was inspired by the movie Alien, and had quite a few extras I was excited about! It's also I+TA's 4th anniversary! This month's colors were all pretty neutral, but Linda has promised more colors next month.

AboutInnocent+Twisted Alchemy is based in California, owned by Linda, and specializes in eyeshadow and blush. Many of their collections are inspired by anime, but they also have the "Live Or Die" collection which is inspired by the Saw films. IT+A also has a monthly subscription, that comes in sample or full size form.

March 2015 Favorites

Finally, my late March Favorites post! I've been putting this off too long, and I still haven't done my video, but I'll attach it here when it's done. I've been just picking about 9 of my favorite things each month, usually at least one indie subscription, and I try to pick a variety of kinds of products. What do you guys think about having categories each month? Like favorite bath and body product, favorite eyeshadow, favorite perfume, etc? Let me know in the comments, and maybe I'll add categories for April! I feel like I barely wore makeup in March, but I still managed to have some eye and lip favorites!

Indie Weekends: Femme Fatale Mysterious Fortune Collection Review

The Femme Fatale Mysterious Fortune Collection was the most recent eyeshadow release from Femme Fatale. It was for Valentine's Day, and there was a very limited blush with the collection, which I did not manage to snag before it sold out. But I have all the eyeshadows to swatch and review for you!

Indie Subscription: Hello Waffle March 2015 Visage Review

The Hello Waffle Visage spoilers were a little different this month because Christine posted a look tutorial on her YouTube channel before boxes even shipped! I thought it was a great chance to see how the creator of the products used them in a look, and it was completely different from what I would have done!
