The Honest Company Mother's Day Gift Set Review

The Honest Company is a subscription service and online retailer for baby products, cleaning supplies, and health and wellness items created by actress Jessica Alba. All their products are non-toxic and eco-friendly, and their subscription service is sent to you every month and you have three bundles to choose from: the Diapers and Wipes bundle ($79.95/month), the Essentials bundle ($35.95/month), or the Health & Wellness bundle ($39.95).

I won this in a Ramblings of a Suburban Mom giveaway, (thanks Jennifer!) It was great because I've never tried any of The Honest Company's products before, so this was a great way to try them for the first time!

This package was huge! I couldn't fit the whole thing in my light box, but it was very nicely packed in this wooden box which I am totally going to reuse.

Here is a close up of the products in this box, they're all big full sized products!

Honest Kids Toothpaste in Strawberry Blast - ($3.95) This weren't in the gift set, but in the box. I assume it was because when Jennifer ordered this she wanted free shipping that comes with a $50+ purchase. The box set was just short, but I'm actually happy to get these. Even if the toothpaste is supposed to be for kids, it smells wonderful and I'll probably be using it!

The Honest Life by Jessica Alba - ($22.99) This is Jessica Alba's book about how The Honest Company was started and some suggestions and tips for living a honest lifestyle. And the copy was signed by Jessica herself! I'll definitely be flipping through this, there are recipes and other fun ideas.

Honest Organic Body Oil - ($9.95) I'm interested in trying this, I don't think I've used a body oil before. But it doesn't really have a scent so that will be nice.

Honest Sea Salt & Sugar Body Scrub - This was exclusive to this set, and is not sold on The Honest Company website. It doesn't have much of a scent, but I've been hoping for a sugar or salt scrub in a box soon, and I got both in one!

Honest Aromatic Soy Candle in Lavender Vanilla - I couldn't find these on The Honest Company site, but apparently they're avlabile in the bundles? I think I like the scent it's not too strong and doesn't go too much lavender or vanilla.

Honest Lip Shimmer in Pomegranate - This was another exclusive to this gift set and it smells and looks lovely!

This gift set originally cost $49.95, and considering I won it in a giveaway I'd say that's a great value. Unfortunately this was a limited edition set just for Mother's Day (it just arrived yesterday though) so it's not available to purchase any more, and some of the items were exclusive to this set.

How do you like this The Honest Company Mother's Day gift set? If you're interested in signing up for a free trial of The Honest Company's subscription bundles you can do so here and just pay shipping!

  2. I get the Honest Home essential subscription. I put mine off longer than a month at a time though, since I don't go through the products that fast. I've been SUPER pleased with the laundry pods, dishwasher pods, sunscreen, bath cleaner, stain remover, body oil and conditioning mist! I also got a free reusable tote bag with my May box, plus a "Happy Mother's Day" Lip shimmer in pomegranate as a surprise! I love their stuff! I used their diapers too before and was very happy with them, but we switched to cloth, so no buying diapers now.
