Beauteque September 2014 Beauty Bag Review and Coupon Code

I've got a new subscription to review for you! Beauteque is a skincare and cosmetics online retailer, selling mostly Korean products, but there are other brands from around the world. They've recently started a new subscription bag which is quite unique. You get to make some choices about what you actually get each month! They are currently only offering this subscription bag for September and November this year, but as of January 2015 it will be every month. It ships to the US, Canada, and Europe.

Beauteque kindly sent me this month's bag to review.

Here's the actual bag all the products came in, which I think is cute and will totally be useful for travel or to store other items in.

Here's what the info card looks like for this month, there are 6 products total, and there were 3 options we could pick for some of the products. The cleanser choices were aloe, cherry, lemon or green tea. The lash choices were daily, glitter, or special. And the lip gloss choices were pink, cherry or mango. I went with green tea cleanser, daily lashes, and mango lip gloss.

Holika Holika Daily Garden Green Tea Cleansing Foam - ($14) This cleanser is meant to be used with the cleansing brush shown below, and it has a very strong fragrance! Good though, mine smells like green tea! It worked great with the cleansing brush, this might be my new favorite way to wash my face!

Beauteque Minerals Cleanser Brush - ($35) This cleansing brush is meant to be used in tandem with the face cleanser, and used to help exfoliate your face when washing. It's a very soft brush, not abrasive at all. I've been wanting to try something like this, so I'm glad to have gotten this one! And it worked really well with the Green Tea cleanser, I can't wait to keep using this.

It's Skin Mini Tint Gloss in Mango - ($7) This mini gloss is so cute! It smells and tastes like candy, not really mango though. I think mango more refers to the color as it's a coral shade gloss. It's not sticky, and is a slight coral shade on the lips. Very light though, and something that could be thrown in a purse and used for a quick touchup or classic, easy lip look.

The Face Shop Cherry Cherry Lips Modeling Gel Patch - ($7) This gel patch is used over the lips to help moisturize. It's like a jelly consistency, and sure makes you look silly wearing it, but I have to say it helped! After using it, my lips feel more moisturized and the flakes I usually get are gone. I have such a hard time trying to keep my lips moisturized enough to keep them from flaking, so if this would help I would totally be willing to use these on a regular basis.

Skinfood Daily 3 False Lashes - ($7) Not everyone enjoys receiving lashes in subscriptions, and I haven't had a chance to try lashes enough to decide if I like using them. I'm interested to see how this lash design looks on, I hope it's a very natural look. This set comes with a tiny tube of lash glue, which is nice to have, especially if you don't use lashes often. I've heard so many good things about the Skinfood brand though, so one of these days I'll have to break these out and see how they look!

Mizon Multi Function Formula Snail Recovery Gel Cream - ($16) I finally got a snail cream! I've been trying a lot of Korean skincare products, and one of the weirdest ingredients in some of them is snail mucus. This is a very light gel moisturizer with a slight fragrance. I tried some on my hand and it adsorbed very quickly, you couldn't even tell it was there. I have dry skin so this will totally go to use. And look how cute the snail is on the packaging!

Overall, this month's Beauteque bag had a total value of $86, and I really liked this bag! It was a good mix of makeup and skincare, although a little more skincare, which I think is good. I have been more into taking care of my skin lately, and Korean skincare is some of the best in the world. Most of the products are not available to purchase through Beauteque, but I hope that they do eventually carry them. That way you can purchase more if you liked a certain product.

The September Beauteque Beauty Bag is still available for purchase, it is sold here and is $22. You can pick your product choices at the time of purchase as well! It will be offered this month, and in November, and then starting January 2015 it will be monthly. And if you use the coupon code BBBAG2-KELLY with your September Beauteque Beauty Bag purchase, you will also receive 2 sheet masks with your order for FREE!

Disclosure: I received these products complimentary for review. This is my honest review.

  1. I just ordered my September bag this morning. I chose the green tea too! The bag is really nice and I can't wait to try all the products. Do you know what state they ship from? Just curious as to how long it would take to receive. Wish I had seen your code as well, it is the first time I have had to pay tax. :)

    1. I remember it being east coast? Possibly Florida? I can't remember, when I don't get tracking I forget! It was shipped USPS First Class though so those usually arrive pretty quickly for me, even from the east coast.
