My 2nd SactoMoFo

You may remember a past post about Sacto MoFo explaining that it's a food truck get-together in Downtown Sacramento that they put on during the summer. Well, I went to a second one, and finally got to bring B. We tried some delicious food and here is what we tried. We tried foods from Volkswaffle, Red Truck, Star Ginger, and Chairman Bao.

First, was a waffle from Volkswaffle. We got strawberries and whipped cream on ours, and it was a delicious sweet treat to start off our food truck testing.

I had read a little about Red Truck before coming to the event, and it looked like an interesting truck. They're from Truckee, CA and we tried their tacos! These were good, and fun to share.

I don't know what made me want these noodles from the Star Ginger truck, but I got them and a Thai Iced Tea, which is one of my favorite drinks. But I got them, and they were ok. Plenty of flavor, but the noodles were a little too undercooked for my taste, and we didn't finish eating them. They were just ok.

Here's that Thai Iced Tea, and Peach Lassi which was a special drink from the Red Truck. Both were refreshing.

And because B and I have a hard time resisting the Chairman, we got some steamed buns. Ben's favorite is the spicy chicken on the left with carrots, and mine are the Coca-Cola braised pork and I occasionally like getting their famous pork belly bao, on the right. Sometimes it's hit or miss whether or not the pork belly is going to be crispy, so most of the time my go-to filling is the braised pork. These are always delicious, and if you ever get a chance to try the Chairman truck, do it! They're always a good choice!
