Birchbox April 2014 #2 Review

I have three Birchbox subscriptions, and this is the review for my second box, which is on my alt account.

This Birchbox arrived in 13 days, from Tennessee to California. Birchbox just moved their warehouse to Tennessee from New Jersey I believe, and somehow it caused some shipping troubles this month. I think pretty much everyone's box was shipped out of Tennessee, back to New Jersey, then out to everyone. It took a lot longer for me to get my boxes this month because of this. Hopefully this gets resolved for next month.

I received box #40:

April's theme is "Rainy Days".

Info card of all the items I received.

The first look inside my box, this one was pretty full so that was nice.

Paula's Choice RESIST Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator - ($8) I tried this and it seemed to make my red spots less red, but it did nothing to moisturize my face like it says. You will probably want to use a moisturizer with this.

Gilchrist & Soames Spa Therapy Body Wash - ($2.50) This smells nice. It will be going in my basket of other soap and body washes I have in backups. Will definitely be a nice travel size, but usually I just use what's in the hotel because I'm lazy and don't want to pack my own.

theBalm® cosmetics How ‘Bout Them Apples? - ($5) I already got one of these and I don't really need another, so I'll be swapping this. I do plan on buying the full size though, I like the formula. It doesn't seem to be too drying on my lips, which I know some other people complained about.

Color Club Gala's Gems in Aquamarine Azulino - ($3.25) I like this color, I'm glad I got a little variation, I got the green in my other boxes, one which I'm swapping for the gold, so I'll almost have the complete set.

KIND Healthy Grain Bars - ($0.75) I like Kind bars, and especially these Healthy Grain ones. I find these a touch too salty in some spots though. Like little pockets of too much salt. We usually keep a chocolate and a peanut butter flavor in the house.

Overall my second Birchbox had a value of $19.50 plus I also get $5 back in points for reviewing my items! Not my favorite but not the worst box I've received. I do like the nail polishes they sent out this month, and I don't really think there was one item this month that I had to have that I didn't get. I do wish there was more variety for the Kind Bars, usually I want to eat the snacks I get in boxes right away, but these kind of sat around for a while before I grabbed them.

Birchbox is only $10 a month and they send you 5-6 (usually sample size) products. If you really like the sample, they offer the full size version on their shop for you to purchase. If you sign up, use the code SFBB100 to get 100 points with your subscription, equal to $10 off in the Birchbox shop!
