May Favorites

Here were my favorite things and products from the month of May! Most of them came from a subscription, but they're all things I've been enjoying all month long!

Rainbow Honey Nail Honey Cuticle Oil - ($12) I bought this when I bought my May Mystery Bag and I've been really enjoying the lovely honey smell it has and how well it's been keeping my cuticles hydrated. I almost bought the mini size, which is only 5ml, versus this 15ml size, and I'm so glad I decided to go with the larger one! And with it being in a nail polish bottle, the brush makes it very easy to apply to your cuticles. I highly recommend this stuff if you're looking for a good cuticle oil!

Smellbent St. Tropez Dispenser Perfume - ($45) I received this in my May POPSUGAR Must Have box, and I remember many people said they couldn't stand the smell, but I absolutely love this perfume! It smells like the beach, suntan oil, coconuts, and a hint of jasmine. I don't even care if I'm not leaving the house I sprayed this on almost everyday just to sniff it all day lol! And I'm going to have to get an atomizer to take it on the go.

Pur-lisse pur-moist hydra balance moisturizer - ($16) This came in my May Ipsy Glam Bag, and I thought I wouldn't like this, but I've been using it almost everyday and it's growing on me! I am for sure not buying the full-size version that's $55, but I'll be using the rest of this sample!

Number 4 Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner - ($5) I got these in one of my May Birchboxes, and I really love the scent and how nice my hair looked after using them! I still have a bit of the shampoo left, but the conditioner was only two uses. I do really like these products I just can't justify their expense to buy the full size. Maybe with some points or something.

BOXES!!! (And my cat, she's my favorite all year long!) - (don't want to count the $...) I love getting boxes in the mail, and it can be an addiction, but I've been pretty good this month. Sadly, as a result it means I've had less to review at the end of May, but they should start rolling in soon! I'm waiting on quite a few things that are taking their sweet time getting here. I'm sure as soon as I leave for B's house they'll all get to my house at once...

Honest Co. Aromatic Soy Candle in Lavender Vanilla - ($?) I got this in the Honest Co. Mother's Day box I received, and I didn't know how I felt about the scent when you just smell it in the jar, but once it's burning it smells really mellow and calming! I love it so much, I've been burning it a few hours every night. I also have a bunch of candles I told myself I couldn't buy more until I used up some that I have. So this one is part of my project! It's looking like it will be about a 25 hour candle.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser Starter Kit - ($7.50) I received this in the Birchbox Limited Edition In Full Bloom box, and I've just started using it at night to wash my face. I really like it because I don't enjoy splashing water on my face. I'd rather use makeup remover wipes, and something like this kit to wash my face. I didn't know this when I first got it, but you use the cleanser dry and then wipe it off with the cloth damp with hot water. It doesn't irritate my face, and it's actually enjoyable to wash my face at night!

Soap & Paper Factory Shea Butter Hand Cream in Jasmine - ($18) This also came from the Birchbox Limited Edition In Full Bloom box and I really like this hand cream. Not only do I love the scent I received, but it's very moisturizing and the packaging is so cute! I want to get more scents, but I can't justify spending $18 on hand cream. I have a hand cream stock pile so this may have to be one of those products I don't let myself buy until I use what I have.

Keurig Green Mountain French Vanilla K-Cup iced coffee - I buy big 50-count boxes of this coffee on Amazon, because it's great hot in the winter, and perfect iced when it starts getting hot outside. The trick to getting it great iced is making only a 4 oz. cup size, adding your coffee creamer of choice (mine is Italian Sweet Cream), and then filling the rest of your cup with ice. My machine has a 4 oz cup size, but if yours doesn't you can get an ok iced coffee with the 6 oz size, or split an 8 oz size into two cups. I started the #100happydays project on my Instagram and this was my first day's photo, check out what else makes me happy over at evolutionofafoodie!

  1. You've got a few of my recent favorites on here. I put the st. Tropez dispenser in a rollerball because it was a bit too strong for me. I also LOVED the shampoo, but ran out this morning and I am trying to make myself wait for my 6 month code and enough points before I order it. I got a full size purlisse in a total beauty box I probably won't use, so find me on julep swap if you decide you want it (for much less than $55 or even to swap).

    1. Yeah I can't justify the cost of the shampoo too, but it made my hair so smooth and shiny I may have to save my points for it!
