Simple Pasta with Cherry Tomatoes, Basil, and Parmesan Cheese Recipe

This was a simple pasta dish I made for lunch the other day with some of the Pasta Gravy I got from my April Hatchery Box! I wouldn't call the Pasta Gravy anything super special, but it was very spicy! If you like spicy things, especially sauces it might be for you. But you can always use a regular marinara sauce. I just served the pasta and sauce with some fresh chopped basil, tomato slices, and Parmesan cheese. This dish is very quick and easy to make, but it looks so colorful and fun for the Summer or anytime of year.

Recipe created by me! Serves one hungry person, or two as a side dish.

Ingredients:
1/4 box of pasta shape of your choice, Penne is good, or anything that has a lot of surface area for the sauce to coat
1/4 - 1/2 cup marinara sauce of your choice
3-4 baby tomatoes, sliced
1 Tbsp. fresh basil, sliced into thin strips
Parmesan cheese, grated for garnish
Red pepper flakes, optional
Salt

Directions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package directions in salted boiling water.

2. Drain the pasta, then return to pan over medium low heat. Add the marinara sauce and stir together. Add the basil, tomatoes, and red pepper flakes if you're adding them (this is optional) and cook for just a minute or two.

3. Pour pasta into serving dish and grate some Parmesan cheese over the top. Serve and enjoy!
