Indie Subscription: Glamour Doll Eyes June 2015 OTM Review

The Glamour Doll Eyes OTM this month was themed "Girls Night Out"! I always love my OTM subscription, because it's inexpensive, and there aren't many products, which is nice considering my collection is already pretty big. I don't need a ton of products adding to it every month. Plus, the candy is always a nice addition!

AboutGlamour Doll Eyes is an indie cosmetics company specializing in eyeshadow, blush, lip glazes, gel eyeliner, and will be soon venturing into pressed shadows. Vanessa, the owner, is based in Nevada, and has been doing a monthly subscription for three years.

Shipping - My subscription shipped on the 10th, and arrived 3 days later via USPS from Nevada to California.

Product Size - The eyeshadow was full sized, the highlighter was mini sized, and there was one free eyeshadow sample.

Free Samples - We received one free eyeshadow sample from the atmosCHROME collection that releases today.

All eyeshadow swatches are done over Too Faced Shadow Insurance primer. Highlighter swatch is done over bare skin and blended out.

TMI (Try More Indie)One Hand Washes The Other (OHWTO) - Use code TMIBBY for 15% off your purchase (Expires July 31st).

This code seems like kind of a throw-away considering they are currently having a 40% off sale with code ADIOS. I have been wanting to try their perfume oils, so I might take advantage of this discount.

#girlsnight - "Blackened mauve with a purple/pink overlay finished off with a blue and copper sparkle."

This shade is really sheer, and is mostly made up of sparkles. I do like it though, sometimes I want a shadow that's more sheer for a more subtle look. And I bet it would look great over Pixie Epoxy or Glitter Fix.

Tiny Unicorns - "A sheer pale pink gold."

This highlighter has a new formula from the old blush and highlighter formula. It's very fluffy and soft, and blends really well. It's a very soft pale gold shade, which I like.

Pocket Mirror -

I have a couple other little pocket mirrors from other indie shops, and this one is very similar. The same size and it comes with a little bag for keeping it scratch-free.

Galaxy Beyond Dreams - "The darkest blue you could ever find with a galaxy of sparkles. Every color imaginable and this color is sparkly to the max!"

This shadow is a sneak peek from the new atomsCHROME collection that is releasing today. The base shade doesn't really look blue to me, it looks like black. I like how sparkly it is, but it is a black based shadow, so there's not much you can wear it with. But it is nice to know I can skip this shade when I buy the rest of the collection.

Overall, I liked the two main products this month, the eyeshadow and highlighter. The pocket mirror is cute, but I already have a few of them, and really only need one in my purse. I actually like that #girlsnight is fairly sheer, because if it was fully opaque, I know I probably wouldn't wear it as much. It would be too dark to wear everyday. And the highlighter is light and sheer enough that it can be used for many different applications, including a cheek highlighter, a brow highlight, or even as an eyeshadow.

Customer Service - I did not have to contact customer service regarding any problems with my subscription.

AvailabilityThe main eyeshadow(s) each month go up for sale separately on the 10th at noon PST if you're interested in buying it, but the OTM subscription itself is on a waitlist.

Overall Satisfaction - My favorites this month were #girlsnight and Tiny Unicorns. I love getting to try something other than an eyeshadow, so I hope we get more blushes and highlighters in the future!
