Birchbox and Ipsy Glam Bag Reveal Day for April!

It's Reveal Day for both Birchbox and Ipsy, and I don't know if I could be more disappointed with all 3 (yes, 3) Birchboxes and my Ipsy bag! I am really trying here to be positive about it, but I feel like I got the shaft this month. I was really hoping for some good items for my birthday month and all, but I guess I'll just have to make myself feel better by buying the things I wanted but didn't get. Let's get to what I got before I cry...

Ipsy Glam Bag:

Cailyn Tinted Lip Balm - I wanted the lip liner from this reveal, but I don't know how to feel about this one. I'm waiting to see what color I got and maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised, but I might swap this. I have so many other glosses I like that I don't really need another.

Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Eyeliner - Well everyone was getting this, no way around it. I love Urban Decay but more black eyeliner? Do not need.

City Color White Gold Shadow & Highlight Mousse - I wanted the Rainbow Honey for this reveal. This was my second choice so ok. I do want a highlighter but I was thinking of buying the Chella or Anastasia highlighter pencil. I'll have to see what this looks like when I get it.

dr. brandt microdermabrasion - Ugh I wanted the Lollitint for this reveal. I do like dr. brandt products they are higher end, so I'll probably use this. But, ugh.

Sexy Hair Root Plump Volumizing Spray Mousse - I didn't get lashes...I didn't get lashes...maybe if I keep repeating that to myself I'll be more ok with this product. Nope, it's not working. I wanted either the Coastal Scents brush or the Demeter for this one. I didn't get lashes...

To top it off, there aren't really any good discount codes to at least purchase the items I wanted. Urban Decay and Benefit are GWP codes, Rainbow Honey (Rainbow Honey does now have a discount code, I feel a little bit better) and Coastal Scents don't even have a discount code, and Demeter is a 20% off discount code which I am going to use. They could have sent one thing I wanted? Right? I'm changing my profile and I made sure to rate my products already.

Main Account, Box #29

At least this is a 6 item box, more points? I think I'll use everything in this box, but I'm not particularly excited about the Number 4 products.

2nd Account, Box #8

Paula's Choice, didn't want. More freaking body wash. I don't even know how I will use all the body wash I have stockpiled. I have like 5 now. Not sample sized. Full size. From boxes. Geez. I already got theBalm last month so this will go up for swap.

3rd Account, Box #37

Harvey Prince, yuck, swapping that. More eyeliner, will probably be swapped if it's the same shade. Beauty Protector Spray, yes give me more of that. And more nail polish.

With my luck this month, I'm going to end up with 3 of the same color nail polishes, and 2 of the same eyeliners. The Kind bars I will gladly eat, I'm happy those were in every box. But I wanted to try that coffee scrub and the other nyakio products. I think I'm going to do one more month with 3 boxes, then dwindle it down. I haven't decided if I just want two or only one box. I might stick with two just so I get a little variety if one box is an absolute junk punishment box.




Obviously I'll probably be more thrilled with some items once I get them, but I'm just so bummed that I really didn't get a single thing I really wanted. I guess it was either going to be a great lucky month where I got everything I wanted for my birthday month, or I would get everything I hated and I'd just have to go buy what I wanted for my birthday. See how that works? When it's your birthday month you can justify it all by saying you're treating yourself. This also works during the holidays.
