Birchbox May 2014 #3 Review

I have three Birchbox subscriptions and this is the review for my third account. For some reason or another I seem to always get this one first, I think it's because I keep the profile mostly blank, so I tend to get the first round of boxes sent out. And overall, I think the boxes I've been getting with this profile have been pretty good.

My Birchboxes always seem to take a while to get to me, they sort of trickle in throughout the month, but this one only took 5 days to get to me from Georgia to California.

I received box #34:

The Birchbox info card always has handy information about all the products you received for that month.

First look! Man, that LAQA is bright!

Number 4 Volumizing Shampoo - ($4) The last time I got Number 4 products I swapped them because I had heard mostly bad things about them. But I think I'm going to keep these, the shampoo smells really fresh and clean, and I'm actually running low on shampoo so, I'll use these!

Number 4 Volumizing Condition - ($1) The info card stated this was a bonus item, so I guess that's why it's a foil instead of in a bottle? I don't mind, I use more shampoo than conditioner anyways.

LAQA & Co. Sheer Lip Lube Pencil in Menatour - ($9?) Holy cow this looks bright in the tube, but is actually very sheer and so beautiful on me! I'm so happy I got this bright color because I never would have bought it for myself. It twists up and is actually a pretty large sample, plus it smells like mint! I may have to buy the rest of these colors, this one thing pretty much made this box for me. If you got this and were scared to try it, I say go for it. It's pretty amazing how flattering this color is.

Whish Shave Crave Shaving Cream in Acai Grapefruit - ($3) This smells nice and I definitely need more shaving cream. I'll be interested to see how the texture is compared to the aerosol cans of shaving cream.

CoTZ Face Natural Skin Tone SPF 40 - ($1) At first I wasn't going to try this because I saw it was a darker shade than light, but it's really sheer. I don't even know why they have different "shades" but my mom was looking for a tinted sunscreen higher than SPF 30, and this one is SPF 40 so I gave it to her.

SmartyPants All-in-One Gummy Vitamins for Adults - ($0.33) Oh man these are tasty! I am tempted to buy these vitamins, you can have 6 of them everyday. They suggest 3 at lunch and 3 at dinner, how fun would that be! I might add these onto an order sometime.

Overall, this May Birchbox had a great value, $18.33, plus there are 6 products to review so that's $6 back in points for reviewing the products. And considering I got this box with the 100 points promo, I paid $10 for it and got $10 in points back on my purchase, what a deal! This may be one of my favorite boxes for the LAQA alone!

Birchbox is only $10 a month and they send you 5-8 (usually sample size) products. If you really like the sample, they offer the full size version on their shop for you to purchase. If you sign up, use the code BBKSS14 to get 100 points with your subscription, equal to $10 off in the Birchbox shop!

    1. You can make multiple accounts with different email addresses. They can all have the rest of your info the same, the email just needs to be different. You can send points to yourself in the form of a gift card and use that to make larger purchases on one account :)
