Blog Update: September 14th

Finally got around to doing a September blog update! If you've never read one of these before, I usually go over my future plans for the blog, in the month this is for, and also bigger plans. Just to keep you guys up to date, and let you know what's going on!

Indie Weekends: They smell and look so pretty :)
Indie Weekends: You may have noticed my new blog post series, Indie Weekends, which I hope to be able to do Saturdays and Sundays, featuring reviews and swatches of Indie cosmetics. Today excluded, because I'm at B's helping him pack and move, and I don't have any other Indie stuff with me to review. Hence, the blog update instead. I can't stress enough how much I am loving Indie products over big brand name companies lately, so expect to see even more of that this month and the coming months. I subscribed to a few Indie subscriptions, so I'll have reviews of those, and the rest of the week (Monday through Friday) will be dedicated to my regular scheduled posts. The spoilers, subscription box reviews, etc.

See? Delicious looking food that needs to be shared with the world!
Food!: I do want to get back to my cooking and recipes. I've been saying that for months, but I have a ton of photos and recipes I could post. I'm wondering if maybe I can dedicate a day to that once a week, maybe Recipe Wednesdays or something along those lines. I'll have to decide on this later, it's mostly just something I've been thinking about doing for too long, and I just want to do it!

Blog Changes: Also, I am currently working on reorganizing my menu and making it easier to find stuff. No changes have been posted yet, but hopefully that will be coming soon, and a new banner. My food banner looks delicious, but it's not all I do anymore, I want to make a new one.

Sorry for the delay...
Secret Project: This is going to take much longer than I anticipated, and I can't really dive head first into it, until I move. Moving keeps getting delayed, and so the secret project keeps getting delayed. I had wanted to get most of it accomplished before the end of this year, but I'm thinking it won't be until next year. But that's fine, I'll have more time...

Boxes, boxes, boxes
Subscription Boxes and Reviews for September: I paired down my normal boxes this month. Unsubscribed to Birchbox and just never had the chance to resubscribe. I should though, this month had some great boxes. And of course got rid of Ipsy, but I did pick up a POPSUGAR Must Have box, and I'll also be getting October and November. And of course lots of Memeboxes, and Indie subscriptions. Here's what reviews should be coming this month, and beginning of October:

  • Indie subs: Innocent + Twisted Alchemy, Glamour Doll Eyes, and Notoriously Morbid.
  • Indie product reviews: Fortune Cookie Soap Fall products, Sixteen92 Fall Collection perfumes, and a few others.
  • Memeboxes: Moisture Surge, OMG 2, Cute Wishlist 2, Earth and Sea Cosmetics, My Honey Box, Global #15, and the Cafe Box.
  • POPSUGAR Must Have
I also will have something really special that I really haven't quite decided how to review yet, and I probably won't know until it gets here, because I am sort of in the dark about what all it will have in it! I got together with some online friends and we created an Indie Potluck swap, where each of us bought a group of products that were enough for everyone in our group, and one person is collecting them all and is going to distribute one of each Indie product into a package and mail it out to us. So, I know what I'm including, but I have no idea what the other ladies have purchased, but I think it should be getting here in September depending on the turnaround times for some of the companies.

This is how you pack and move to a new place right?
I think that's everything. Thank you to you all who read my blog and take the time to comment and let me know you're enjoying it, I really appreciate it! I hope you all have a great week, and I should be getting back to some box reviews tomorrow hopefully. After moving B's stuff is done. Ugh, moving...
