Wow October flew by didn't it!? Normally, I would have an Indie Weekends post today, but since I had a whole week of indie reviews, I figured I ought to get my favorites post up for today. And also since if you missed it, I had two Halloween specific indie collections not show up before Halloween...yeah a little irked about that.
But, it's all in the past, and I'm here with my monthly favorites for October! A good variety this month, at least I think so, some mainstream items, some indies, some Korean skincare...what more could a girl want!?
Missha Creamy Latte Chocolate Cleansing Foam -
I bought this off Memebox's website a few months back, and it's been my shower face cleanser for a while (yes, I have a separate face cleanser in the shower which I use as my morning cleanser and I have a different one for at night), but I just sort of realized how much I love this stuff! It smells like delicious chocolate, and really I could stop there and that would be reason enough to try it. But, it lathers really well, which I can appreciate in a facial cleanser, and it makes my face feel really soft, and doesn't leave it dry feeling. Overall, it's just a yummy face cleanser, especially for the morning.
Urban Decay Perversion Mascara -
I got this in an Ipsy bag a few months back, but I've been using it nonstop since. It's been my absolute favorite mascara I've used in quite a while, but I've always loved Urban Decay's mascaras. This one has a feathery thick wand, and I have heard it's not so great for people who have oily lids, but for my lashes, it's perfect. I really want to get a full size of this after my sample runs out, but I would feel bad because I have so many other mascaras to get through.
Haus of Gloi Pumpkin Queen Soft Bubbling Scrub -
I just love the scent of Pumpkin Queen in the bath and body products! And I love the bubbling scrub, it's a great way to get your body scrub and soap all in one product. The perfume in this same scent is good, but I think it really mellows and becomes much more reminiscent of fall when it's in a bath and body product, so I actually bought this in the whipped soap as well!
Dewytree Mineral Air Fix Loose Powder SPF27 PA++ -
I've been using this as a finishing powder to set my makeup on days when I do my makeup. It has a little poof under the cap attached to the powder in the bottom, and I just pat it all over my skin after my foundation and blush. It sets it all, and gives me some extra sunscreen on my face. It works really well, and I'll keep using this.
Haunt Beguiling Skin Glossing Oils -
I bought some of these skin glossing oils from Haunt's summer restock, and I'll have a full review for them, hopefully up tomorrow, but they are amazing! The apricot fairy floss scent especially is great, but I just spray them on my legs after I've shaved and I'm out of the shower. They moisturize and gloss my legs all day, and the scent sticks around really well the whole time!
Black Violet Paper Dolls Perfume -
I love Black Violet perfume in general, hence the photo, and the coming review, but specifically the Paper Dolls perfume...it's to die for! Their website is currently down so I don't have the notes on hand, but it's a sweet milk sort of scent, and with my skin chemistry it smells like horchata on me! It takes on a sweet spicy note on me, and I absolutely love it. It's not that strong though so I get to put on a lot, which is always rewarding in a perfume.
Notoriously Morbid Dean's Seductive Strawberries Coffin Kisser Lip Balm -
These Coffin Kisser lip balms are my new favorite. And they have Supernatural themed ones! Even better, I may have already ordered all those and I will have a review for that coming soon. But seriously, these and their lip tints Notoriously Morbid has are amazing! I might need all of the flavors just to leave all over the house for myself.
Homemade Memebox organizer -
Here's a sneak peek at my homemade organizer for my products I still need to photograph and swatch! I basically just cut off the lid on a larger sized Memebox, and cut off the flaps so I just had the square top. Then I cut it into thirds and cut slots to make them interlock. I use it next to my lightbox when I take my photos and anything that arrives in the mail that I still need to photograph and swatch goes into a slot. Then once I've done that it comes out and goes into my stash so I can put it into a rotation to be used. And I have so much I still need to take photos of, that I had to make three of these. I've been getting it cleared out though recently, but it makes it so much more organized by my lightbox, I don't have shadows everywhere, and I can put them in order of what I want to post next.
Happy Socks -
I got these in my last POPSUGAR Must Have box, and it started getting cold here so I've been wearing them and they're so warm and comfy! I don't know that I would go out and buy these on my own, but they are a cute pattern and great for lounging around the house!
