Memebox Special #53 Wine & Cheese Cosmetics Review

My Memebox Special #53 Wine & Cheese Cosmetics arrived quite a while ago, but I just got a chance to use some of the products inside, and I wanted to get this review up. You may remember there was a problem with Memebox not having enough of one of the products in this box for everyone who ordered it. I did not receive one of the products that was supposed to come in this box. They refunded me for the price of the item, and included an extra Meme Mask for the customers who didn't get it.

Ladykin Mangchee Lifting Mask - (50ml full size/$43)

Product description: "This Mangchee Lifting Cream moisturizes, restores, replenishes, and calms the skin. Mango, cheese, and shea butter extracts boosts and locks in moisture for a dewy and youthful result. It leaves skin with an instant silky, soft, and supple feel and energizes the skin, giving you a healthy-looking, glowing complexion."

How to use: "Apply the Lifting Mask all over the face. Use before bed. Do not rinse."

My thoughts: I really like the Ladykin products I've tried so far, so I bet this will be a hit as well. I don't have too many overnight masks in my collection either, so this will definitely get used.

Ladykin Mangchee Replenishing Hand Cream - (60ml full size/$14)

Product description: "The anti-wrinkle functional hand cream containing cheese extracts, bacillus corchorus olitorius leaf ferment filtrate which Cleopatra used for her skin care and Adenosine which is the anti-wrinkle functional ingredient absorbs deep into skin and helps to strengthen the skin's innate power to protect itself, making the skin more vital and healthier. Mango extracts also makes skin clearer and more transparent and camellia
sinensis leaf water rich in vitamin and polyphenol keeps easily dehydrated hands well-nourished, elastic and smooth."

How to use: "Apply hand cream to clean hands. Reapply as necessary."

My thoughts: I threw this into my hand cream drawer because I won't use it. I might see if my mom wants it, because I just have so many other hand creams I like better.

Blanc Doux Pinot Noir UV Shield & Tone-Up Sensitive - (40ml full size/$36)

Product description: "No more blemish-instigating, oily sunscreens! Specially formulated from a strong antioxidant - premium red wine 'Pinot Noir' - this mild, moisturizing sunblock not only provides moderate UVA and UVB protection, but also replenishes and brightens up uneven skin tone and texture, for a glowing, supple complexion."

How to use: "Apply evenly over face as a makeup base to prep the skin before applying foundation or BB cream."

My thoughts: This is an interesting product, it works as a primer but also a sunblock. I had the product in my drawers and I kept having to check the info card because I couldn't remember what kind of product this was. I am definitely interested in trying it, I have a new love for primers, and added sun protection doesn't hurt!

Enprani Dear By Enprani Bounce Cheese Cream - (30ml full size/$35)

Product description: "Bouncify your skin with a FULL SIZED Memebox cult classic. Dear by Enprani's Dreams Come True Bounce Cheese Cream! This innovative facial cream has a unique ooey-gooey, bouncy texture that comes from a high concentration of protein-rich whey. The fun melted mozzarella cheese texture will adhere to the skin perfectly, and hydrate and firm the skin for the plumpest, youngest cheeks ever!"

How to use: "Prep the skin with toner and serum. Apply the cream to skin daily, morning and night."

My thoughts: This product was pretty much the reason I bought this box, I have heard so many great things about this product. And it's so great that it's a full size jar as well.

Tonymoly I'm Real Red Wine Mask Sheet Pore Care - (21ml x 2 each/$2)

Product description: "A micro-emulsion type essential mask enriched with red wine complex. It's fast-absorbing, effectively softens uneven skin texture, and maintains a healthy moisture/oil balance. Plus, it's free of paraben, talc, benzophenon, trip-ethanolamide, and tar coloring."

How to use: "Spread the mask sheet evenly over clean face. Rest for 15-20 minutes. Remove and pat in the remaining essence for full absorbance."

My thoughts: On a whim, I tried one of these the other night, and I actually really liked it! It seemed to reduce some redness I had on my face, and it was quite soothing. Not too wet either, which bothers me when it starts running down my neck. And I love that we got two of these, because now I want to save the other!

Memebox Meme Mask - ($3)

Instead of receiving the Innisfree Wine Peeling Jelly Softener, which I think should have been distributed in order of who ordered first to last, those who didn't receive it got a refund on the product, and this mask. It's a new product for Memebox, part of their new line of cosmetics. I tried it, and actually liked it quite a bit. I haven't tried many gel masks, but this is one of those. It comes in two pieces with layers of film that need to be removed before you apply the pieces. But I like gel masks because they do come in the two pieces, and they adhere to your face very well. They fit much better than regular sheet masks. And this one had a light botanical scent that wasn't bothersome. And it wasn't too wet either, which I don't like. It was soothing, and my skin looked less red after. I liked it. I would consider buying some of these, if I didn't already have a ton of masks to go through. If you like gel masks, this is a good one to try.

Overall, my version of this box had a total value of $133, not including the Innisfree product, but including the Memebox mask. I didn't think that the missing Innisfree product was handled quite the way it should have been, but I appreciated getting an actual refund on the price of the product, as well as the mask as an apology was a good effort to remedy a messed up situation. I much preferred the refund over getting points back. And I can't wait to try the Bounce Cheese Cream. I really liked the Tony Moly masks, it was my first time trying a mask from that brand. I will definitely be on the lookout for more masks from them.
