Beauteque April 2015 Head to Toe Tony Moly Bag Review

My Beauteque Head to Toe Tony Moly Bag arrived not too long ago, and I couldn't wait to see what was inside. Tony Moly is a Korean brand who specializes in adorable packaging for almost everything they make. I knew this would be a fun bag to open! Beauteque kindly sent me this bag for review purposes.

Here's the bag everything comes in! I really like this style of bag, it's cute and spring-like, but also doesn't have structure which is good for throwing in a ton of beauty stuff. The bags I currently use for my travel makeup and skincare have no structure either, but makes it easy to fit a whole lot into them. I suspect this bag will work similarly, which is awesome! And the drawstring closure makes it very easy to open or close.

The info card. I could already see the cuteness factor with this bag.

Tony Moly Strawberry Seeds 3-Step Nose Pack - ($3)

One bonus to the Tony Moly brand products is that pretty much everything has English ingredients and directions on the product itself. I absolutely love that, especially with something like this where there are multiple steps and various times you need to keep track of when using. I have been having some trouble with clogged pores on my nose lately, and I am hoping this will clear everything up.

Tony Moly Face Mix Primer Lip Concealer - ($12)

This primer is for your lips and is supposed to moisturize and prep them for applying a lipstick. I don't own a lip primer, so this is actually perfect. The product itself looks like a BB cream, and I can't wait to see if it can prevent bleeding and feathering that I get with many lip products I use. And combined with the lip scrub used before that is also in this bag, I will have great looking lips all year!

Tony Moly Make HD Straight Cream - ($16)

The package states that this is to be used for all hair types, but the info card says it's specifically for making curly hair straight. Either way, this is the type of product I will probably have to pass of to a friend, I have completely straight hair, and I don't like bothering with time consuming hair products. This is a very generous full size product though, I just don't see myself using it. It also makes me wonder about the price point, considering this is just a few dollars more than the lip primer and hand cream.

Tony Moly Tangerine Whitening Hand Cream - ($12)

I am always skeptical of hand creams from Korean brands because I have so many I don't like the feel or scent of, and they are a dime a dozen. But I cracked this one open to test, and it smells wonderful! And the cream itself absorbed quickly into my hands, and didn't leave a greasy feeling. Some hand cream scents have a tendency for the scent to morph once it's on your hands, but this one didn't at all. It had the same orange-y tangerine scent on my hands as it does in the jar. And how cute is the packaging! I just love this, definitely one of the highlight products of the whole bag.

Tony Moly Gold Black Sugar Mask Scrub - ($11)

I actually already have one of these from a previous subscription box, and hadn't opened it because I assumed it was a mask pack instead of a face scrub. I love the face scrubs I've tried from other Korean brands, so I can't wait to give this one a whirl. As soon as I finish the current one I'm using, this will replace it.

Pumice Stones - ($6)

These will come in handy as sandal season nears, but I can't help but wonder why we got two. Pumice stones last a very long time, and I don't really need two. It feels like the second one was thrown in to pump up the value of the bag a bit, and make it so there didn't have to be another more expensive product in the bag. The info card does count these as one item, but that's just how it felt to me.

Tony Moly Kiss Kiss Lip Scrub - ($10)

This product you had a choice for, and I went with the scrub instead of the lip balm. I don't have many lip scrubs, but they always come in handy when I'm trying to swatch lipsticks or anything like that and need to exfoliate my lips beforehand. This one smells nice, but it's a bummer you're supposed to wipe off after using. I like it when you can just eat the scrub off. The packaging is adorable and I'll be using this frequently as my lips are almost always dry and flaky.

Overall, the Beauteque Head to Toe Tony Moly Bag had a total value of $70, which is about average for the Head to Toe bags. I do feel as though most of the time the value is overstated, and you can find many products for cheaper, but since this bag only costs $28, it's still a good value! And I think it's a great introductory bag for anyone new or even familiar with the Tony Moly brand, it had a good variety of products. It was a good mix of the cute packaging and more ordinarily packaged products. I think I will use everything in this bag except the hair care product, which is a bit of a bummer considering it had the highest value. If you've been wanting to try Tony Moly, or even just try more products from the brand, I think this is a great bag to get.
