Indies of the Week: Sixteen92 Supercell Review

So the indies of this week is actually only one indie, and it's Sixteen92's Supercell perfume. This perfume was highly sought after, and I had to sort of last minute insert it into my Indies of the Week schedule, and here it is! I've been letting this perfume sit for a while to mingle and meld before officially testing it. I did throw it on right when it arrived just to see how it was. Let's get to the review portion!

AboutSixteen92 is a newer indie company, owned by Claire and based in Texas, that specializes in perfume. They also recently introduced their bath and body product line, including shower gel and hand & body lotion.

Product Size - This product is a full size 5.5ml bottle.

Supercell - "The first cracks of ozonic lightning in the distance, rolling humid air, sharp green grass under heavy grey skies, the smell of rain on hot asphalt, crushed green stems, windblown hay, soaked earth and ancient branches snapped open by the forces of nature."

Right out of the bottle, I smell the green grasses. I think I get a bit of the florals on the skin, but it's mostly the grass and hay I am getting. I put this on right when it arrived just to get a bit of an idea how it was, and it was much sharper and stronger. I would say it definitely mellows out with a bit of time to sit. But I don't get much of the storm sort of scent that it's supposed to have. It is very green, so if you like that, it might work for you. I can't help but feel as if the concept of this scent sacrificed the longevity and accuracy of the perfume. I have heard many say this scent didn't last very long on, and on my skin it didn't either. I got max a few hours out of it, but then it was completely gone. Not even the hint of the base notes left. And I don't feel like I ever smelled the dirt or any of the other notes it's supposed to have. I would have loved more wet dirt scent to this, as that really reminds me of a storm.

Availability - This perfume was a limited edition that is now sold out.

Recommendation - I don't see this appealing to everyone. It's not what I was expecting or hoping for in a scent like this. And I think the perfume wears off too quickly. It might age well, so I'm planning on storing mine away for a while, but some may want to destash this.
