Ipsy Glam Bag July 2014 Review

My July Ipsy Glam Bag finally arrived, it was a bit later than usual, and for the first time I got my tracking email after it arrived! What good that did me! Anyways, I think Ipsy is trying to get back into my good graces again this month, I pretty much got the perfect bag for me.

This month's bag arrived in 6 days, from Georgia to California via DHL Global Mail.

Here is the actual bag this month, and it is a bright hot pink! One of those colors that's almost impossible to capture in a photo, but it's neon! The bag itself is also supposed to be waterproof or water-resistant. I used to hate pink, but now it doesn't bother me as much as it used to. However, I will say this bag looks super cheap. You can see the white lining all along the scalloped edges, and along the zipper. I will probably be giving this bag away.

bareMinerals 5-in-1 BB Advanced Performance Cream Eyeshadow Broad Spectrum SPF 15 in Divine Wine - ($5.50) A lot of people thought this color was too dark, and didn't look good. I found that if you apply a dot of it to your finger, just a dot, then rub over your eyelid, it looks like a beautiful matte brown color. It's probably best you don't apply this with the applicator, you'll use too much. Great as a base, or alone for a very natural look.

Marrakesh Hair Care Marrakesh Endz - ($6) I have split ends. Occasionally I'll trim my really long hair myself, just because I don't like getting it cut, and I usually only ask for a trim always. What's the point in paying a ton of money for something I can do myself. So, it's safe to say I am excited to try this and see if it makes a difference. This may be the item I'm most excited for in my bag this month!

Models Own Nail Polish in Red Sea - ($8.50) Not only is this polish full size, but it's a lovely shade, and I adore the holographic flecks in it! I plan on slapping some black nail polish down on my nails as quick as possible, and topping it with this shade. So pretty! Definitely another winning product for me.

Pur~lisse pur~protect essential daily moisturizer spf 30 - ($16) I really like this brand for their moisturizer which I use, so I can't wait to try this sunscreen. It does worry me that Ipsy is sending out the same brands so just a few months apart, it makes me wonder if they can't find other brand partners.

Elizabeth Mott Tints & Sass - ($23) I don't care for lip/cheek stains that much, and while this one does smell like cherries, it's still very drying on the lips. Might be cute as a cheek stain, but this really does nothing for me. Not a fan.

Overall, my bag this month had a total value of $59, which has got to be a new record for me! Even better that I like most of my products, and not in an ambivalent way, I'm actually really excited to try these items! If Ipsy keeps this up, I may stick around for a while!
