Memebox Scentbox #5 Tropical Fruits Review

Out of all three Memebox Scentboxes from the most recent bundle, I think the Scentbox #5 Tropical Fruits was the best of the three. This one had the most products, and they all mostly smell good. This box alone was $15 (plus $6.99 shipping) and is now sold out.

I got the Scentbox bundle which was shipped DHL Express and arrived in 5 days from Korea to California, accounting for time zone changes.

Does that Vitamin Wash look familiar? Perhaps a total ripoff of the Vitamin Water bottle design? Yeah it looks basically the same.

Boutique Bebe Coconut Pack - (100g full size/$20) *Ingredients listed in English*

Product description: "Entirely made from all-natural extra virgin coconut oil, this Coconut Pack is a solid, soap-like facial pack for deep cleansing, treating enlarged pores, and improving skin elasticity and firmness."

How to use: "Use a bubbling net or your hands to lather the hard-type pack well and create enough foam. Then massage into the pores for a couple of minutes before rinsing off. To be used 1-2 times a week for a concentrated pore care."

My thoughts: It smells like pure coconut, and it's wrapped in plastic inside the outer packaging. Pretty strong scent to be getting through so many layers! I like coconut so this will totally get used. I've never seen a face pack in soap bar form, so it's an unusual product I'm interested to try.

Ladykin Twinklight Soft Foam Cleansing Kiwi - (100ml full size/$10)

Product description: "This creamy, foaming, antioxidant-rich cleanser gently cleanses, nourishes, and hydrates. It deeply purifies and pampers skin, infusing delicate nourishment with natural fruit extracts. It thoroughly removes makeup without irritating the skin and also clears pores of excess sebum. This formula is full of youth-restoring antioxidants to strengthen skin, vitamin C to brighten, firm, soothe and nourish the skin."

How to use: "Massage one to two dollops onto damp face, then rinse with warm water."

My thoughts: I always laugh to myself at the product descriptions, like "how well will it nourish my skin? That much huh?" Beauty marketing is funny to me. I don't want to unseal this but I can faintly smell it through the seal and it smells lovely. And I like the other Ladykin products I've tried, so I'm excited to try this one as well.

Konad Niju Mango Moisture Hand Cream - (60ml full size/$6) *Ingredients listed in English*

Product description: "Enriched with organic argan oil, shea butter, olive oil, and vitamin E, the Niju Mango Moisture Hand Cream does not only smell wonderfully sweet but is also highly effective in soothing, moisturizing, and alleviating various skin troubles."

How to use: "Massage the hand cream all over your hands whenever needed."

My thoughts: This stuff smells divine, just like mango scented things do. I don't think a mango really smells like this, but it definitely smells like the artificial mango scent. It's a very light lotion, and it's fairly small, good for travel. The scent remains true on the skin, it doesn't seem to turn to anything artificial, so that's nice as well! I might keep this in my purse.

Konad Scented Polish in Pineapple - (10ml full size/$6) *Ingredients listed in English*

Product description: "Ever heard of a scented nail polish? (Why yes I have...) Konad has revolutionized the nail world by launching its Scented Nail Polish which come infused with various tropical fruity fragrances - grapefruit, kiwi, lychee, orange, pineapple - that actually last up to 7 days after nail polish application."

How to use: "Apply the base coat first, and double coat with the Scented Polish. It'll start to smell fruity after it's been completely dried. If you want the scent to last longer, it is recommended to apply the top coat after the scent wears off."

My thoughts: I've tried scented nail polishes before, and I'm a little disappointed I got the yellow polish, but it does smell like pineapples. Usually the scents last a few days before wearing off, but I doubt this polish would last 7 days on my nails. I wish they hadn't gone down the road of trying to match the scent to the color, as green, yellow, and orange polishes aren't something I need more of, and I don't think many others would use or like getting those colors.

Evas Vitamin Body Wash in Papaya - (200ml full size/$6)

Product description: "Bursting with refreshing, fruity scents, Evas' Vitamin Body Wash cleanses your skin gently yet thoroughly, removing all skin impurities and delivering deep hydration all at once. The naturally derived fruit extracts works to soothe and rejuvenate tired, stressed-out skin."

How to use: "Use a shower towel to lather the body wash well enough, and gently massage the foam all over your body. Rinse off with warm water."

My thoughts: The papaya scent smells ok, I don't think it smells like the fruit though. It's a very subtle scent and it's body wash that the company ripped off the Vitamin Water packaging. It's a decent size, but kind of a weird one, it looks in between a travel size and full size. I'll throw it in the shower eventually.

Overall, the Scentbox #5 Tropical Fruits had a total value of $48, which is a little less than the Floral box, but more items and I liked the scents better. I think the only item I don't care for much is the scented nail polish, and that's only because it's yellow. But the rest I will use!
