My Memebox Superbox #51 My Cute Wishlist 2 arrived, and I saw the spoilers before my box got here (stupid Pacific time zone!) and I was a little disappointed to see the products didn't look as great as the first My Cute Wishlist. I think of cute packaging when I think of a cute Memebox. This box had some definite misses. My thoughts on this box are a little light, because I had another incident where Blogger deleted my completed review. Which is really discouraging :(
I ordered this box in an Express shipped bundle, so it arrived in 4 days (it would have been 2 but there was the weekend), and it was shipped via DHL Express from Korea to California.
In my opinion, just looking at the photos on the info card for this box should scream cute. I don't think you immediately think these products are cute by looking at the photos.
Sally's Box Friendly Berry Berry Lip Patch - (8g full size/$3) *Ingredients listed in English*
I've tried one of these lip masks before, and it seemed to briefly help my lips. They were more moisturized and less flaky. But is it cute? No, not really. I think it makes you look rather silly.
It's Skin Babyface Petit Blusher in 02 Baby Lavender - (4g full size/$7)
Yay I got the lavender blush! There was some chat on MUT about these when they appeared in the Memebox shop briefly, and I kind of wanted the purple blush. It wasn't enough for me to buy it though, so it's nice that it was in this box. I think this color can look very flattering, and the packaging is cute. I am not using that puff though, I'll take a brush over that any day.
RoseMine Perfumed Hand Cream in Nana's Lily - (60ml full size/$12)
I am getting really tired of getting hand cream in every other Memebox, and this one smells ok. It's not too florally and it sinks into your skin quickly. But I don't see this as cute.
Evas Vitamin Cleansing Dessert in Red Wine - (130g full size/$18)
I think the box on this is cute, but red wine scents have a tendency to turn to grape juice scents. This one smells like grapes, not red wine, but it's not bad. It looks like a whipped texture, so I'm excited to try it.
SaintPeau Collagen Pudding Sleeping Pack - (100g full size/$36) *Ingredients listed in English*
The drawing on the label of this product is cute, and I am interested in trying this, but I just think it would have really qualified for "cute" if it was in a pig shaped jar.
The Yeon Style Y Fruity Swirl Lip Balm in 02 Orange Twist - (1 each full size/$8)
Well, I got my first orange lip product from Memebox and I am not impressed. It smells like black licorice and is just terrible. I'll be throwing this out because it tastes really gross.
Overall, the Memebox Superbox #51 My Cute Wishlist 2 had a total value of $84 and I don't think this box was as good as the first My Cute Wishlist. The first one was all about really cute packaging, and this one is definitely not. And I really don't see what's cute about lip balm. This box was just full of items that you had to really make a stretch to classify the items in it as cute. I just hope the third My Cute Wishlist box is as good or better than the first. I am happy with the blusher, the cleansing dessert, and the sleeping pack. The rest is ehh.
