Beauteque April 2015 Mask Maven Bag Review

Beauteque recently introduced their new Mask Maven Bag subscription for mask lovers! I was very excited when this released because I love trying new masks, especially sheet masks. I'll have more info about the subscription itself at the bottom of this review, but Beauteque kindly sent me April's Mask Maven Bag for review purposes.

There was an info card included but it didn't have much on it, so I didn't take a photo of it. It just has directions for generally how to use a sheet mask, a cheek mask, and an acne mask. Some of these sheet masks actually have different directions, so I hope the info card is more detailed in the future, with directions for each product and a photo.

Hanaka Black Rose Acne Fighting Mask - ($1.80)

This is a wash off mask, and it looks like there's a lot of product it in. I bet you could get at least two uses out of it. I'm saving this for when I get some hormonal acne to try and help clear it up.

My Beauty Diary Red Wine Mask - ($2)

I have always liked My Beauty Diary sheet masks. They aren't too expensive, they're relatively easy to find, and they work well. I haven't had a chance to use this one yet, but I imagine it will smell like wine, and that can never be a bad thing!

My Beauty Diary Black Pearl Mask - ($2)

I did use this one, and it was nice! It was my first time using the Black Pearl one, and it had a nice scent and seemed to moisturize well.

Tony Moly Red Cheeks Girl's Patch - ($1.60)

These little gel patches are meant to be used over your cheeks to calm any redness and moisturize. They are too thick though, and just fall down your face when wearing them. I had to hold them to keep them in place. It didn't really seem to do anything that a regular sheet mask couldn't do. I actually have another one of these and they will probably be gifted.

Hanaka Camellia Hydration+ Botanic Treatment Reviving Mask - ($1.80)

I can always use a good moisturizing mask, so this was the first one I used. I actually really liked it! It felt very nice on my skin, and smelled nice.

Holika Holika Juicy Mask Sheet Pomegranate - ($2.20)

I love the packaging for these two masks from Holika Holika. And I like that you can clearly see the effect the mask is supposed to give right on the top of the foil. I'm looking forward to using this one.

Holika Holika Juicy Mask Sheet Mango - ($2.20)

I tried this mask, and it was like a hallelujah moment! This is the first sheet mask that really fit my face! And it smelled really good! My skin felt calmer and more moisturized after too. I can't wait to try the other one, and I'll be seeking out more of these.

Etude House Vita Complex - ($1)

I've liked the other Etude House masks I've used before, and I expect I'll like this one as well. I don't think I've ever used a mask that wasn't the scent of some kind of food, so this one will be interestingly different.

Leaders Mediu Amino Lifting Mask - ($1.60)

I think I have another mask from the brand in my stash, but I haven't had a chance to try them yet. The packaging looks kind of boring, but sometimes those are the sheet masks that surprise you.

Overall, this month's Beauteque Mask Maven Bag had a total value of about $16 which is the price of the month to month subscription option. It's not an incredible value, but it is convenient to get a bunch of masks picked out for you and sent straight to your door. And a great way to get a ton of variety and try new brands and mask styles. And considering it would be hard to get the same variety of masks without paying a lot in shipping, means that I would be very interested in subscribing to this bag. Sometimes it's hard for me to justify accumulating more full size skincare products, but sheet masks are so nice in that they are a one time use, small and compact, and quick to be used up.
