Aromaleigh recently introduced a new Color of the Month, which also includes a mini collection to go along with it. For April, it's the Leshy Menagerie Collection and includes one blush, and three eyeshadows. The Menagerie is an off-shoot of the Color of the Month which consists of more daring and experimental shades and finishes. Each will be themed around each mythical creature COTM, and there will be a new mini collection each month!
About - Aromaleigh opened back in 1998, and was one of the first indie cosmetic companies to be started. Kristen is the owner, and is based in South Carolina. They offer a few fandom related collections, including Hannibal, Sherlock, and the Hunger Games, but most of their collections are historically and mythologically inspired. The monthly Ephemera subscription began January 2015.
Shipping - My order shipped 3 days after I ordered, and arrived in 3 days via USPS from South Carolina to California.
Product Size - Everything in this collection is available in sample, mini jar, or full size form.
Free Samples - I always receive 4 free samples with every order.
Blueblood - "A unique blue blush with green iridescence."
This is a blue blush! How fun is that! Honestly though, I don't think I'd ever wear this alone as a blush. I do think it would be fun to top over a pink blush you want to look more purple though. And it is also eye safe, so it can always be worn as an eyeshadow.
Changeling - "A shifty shade with a deep reddish base."
This shade is so pretty! This is probably my favorite, which shouldn't be any surprise considering how much I like red eyeshadows. This one has got tons of gold sparkle and a bit of a coppery shift. I'd love to try this as an eyeliner.
Leshy - "Tree bark brown with a strong golden duochrome and sparkles of ruby, sapphire and emerald."
This shade is the actual COTM, and is a really dark brown with an olive green shift. Very interesting over primer, and I foiled this as an eyeliner for this month's Ephemera look, and it makes a great dark brown liner.
Trickster - "A bright green, the color of newly-budded spring leaves, with a metallic olive undertone and color traveling shimmer."
This is a bright green with lots of sparkle and shimmer. I would love this one as an all over lid color, or as an eyeliner for the top or bottom lashes.
Overall, I absolutely love the idea of this Menagerie mini collection every month revolving around the Color of the Month shade. It's a really fun idea, and a great way for the more adventurous to get their crazy eyeshadow color fix. Or blue blush fix! And I think it's even better than all of these products this month could totally be used together in a look. I'll have to play around with them all to see what I can come up with, but an idea might be Trickster all over the lid, Changeling in the outer corner and crease, Leshy foiled as an eyeliner, and Blueblood used over a hot pink blush to create more of a light purple blush. Another idea could be Blueblood as the main lid shade, Leshy in the outer corner and crease, Changeling as the transition shade, and Trickster foiled as a bottom lash liner. My favorite shade though is Changeling, I'll be trying to incorporate that into a look as soon as possible!
Customer Service - I did not have to contact customer service regarding any problems with my order.
Availability - These will be available until at least the end of April. After that, I'm not sure if they will be taken off the site, or if they will be left until stock runs out. Either way, there will be a new Menagerie mini collection made available May 1st, inspired by Hydra.
Overall Satisfaction - My favorite shade is Changeling, and I just love the idea and concept of the Menagerie mini collection. I can't wait to see May's Menagerie!

I got Blueblood and Changeling from this collection and I love them! I thought the idea of a blue blush was so interesting that I couldn't say no. I wore it as a blush on it's own and it's kind of shocking at first, but over time I got more used to it. I do think I liked it better when it was a bit faded than when I initially put it on, so I might try a sheerer application to begin with next time. One of my co-workers also suggested using it more as a contour color in the hollows of my cheeks and around my temples, which I thought sounded cool, too. I kind of regret not getting Leshy; your swatch makes it look so dimensional!
